Southern Spain is an open bright land. Over the length and breadth of the rich geography are hidden away lovely towns, dream countryside, architectural jewels and countless picturesque places, worthy of praise for their beauty and immeasurable architectural heritage.

This route is designed to combine good cycling in varied landscapes in rural areas with stays in the most monumental cities and town of Andalucía. The cycling is easy since it is done on flat cycle lanes with hardly any climbing.

Andalusia is one of those privileged destinations that offer ideal weather conditions for cycle touring most of the year.

  • Day: 1 - Arrival in Malaga

    Arrival in Malaga airport, where the local guide will be waiting for us. Then private bus transfer to our hotel in Malaga.

    Stay in Malaga city and enjoy a walk and a welcome dinner in the city center. Welcome dinner in the city center. (Possible flamenco)

    Accomodation: Hotel in Malaga city center.      

  • Day: 2 - Malaga to Ronda (30 km ride)

    We will take a 70 km transfer to the lovely typical village of El Burgo in the Sierra de las Nieves Natural Park. Cycle up a mountain pass of the Paso del Viento to go down then to the majestic town of Ronda.

    Accomodation: Hotel in Ronda.

  • Day: 3 - Ronda to Sevilla (around 40 km ride)

    We take a transfer in the morning to the town of Olvera (34km) to then cycle on the Via Verde de la sierra for 36 km to Puerto Serrano. This is a reconverted old railway track that winds around the mountains and makes a lovely ride with no cars on a flat surface amongst nature. After our cycling we will take another transfer into the city of  Sevilla (74 km).

  • Day: 4 - Sevilla (guided city tour)

    Today we will do a guided visit to the city using our bikes so we can use the local bike lanes and get to see all the monumental areas of this magnificent city.

    Accomodation: Hotel in Sevilla old quarter.

  • Day: 5 - Sevilla to Cordoba (46 km ride)

    After breakfast we take a transfer to Ecija (86km) to then cycle along the Via Verde de la Campiña for 46 km on an old railway track reconverted into a cycle path. We will enter the city with a transfer.

    The city of Cordoba is one of the most impressive cities in Andalucía and we will be able to visit the ancient Mezquita (Mosque) and walk by the river and the narrow streets of the old Jewish quarters.

  • Day: 6 - Cordoba to Granada (41 km ride)

    Today we will take a transfer to Lucena (70km) to then cycle for 41 km the Via Verde  Subbetica North East towards Cabra and Luque to finish in the Laguna del Saboral. We cycle through beatiful countryside full of olive groves. We will then take a transfer to Granada city (100km)

    Accomodation: Hotel in Granada.  

  • Day: 7 - Visiting Granada

    Granada is one of the most beautiful cities of Spain, famous for the wonderful palacio de la Alhambra. Today you will have the chance to visit the city and the Palace.

  • Day: 8 - Return

    A transfer will take the group straigth to Malaga airport.
